ABOUT
Our lab studies how personality, relationships, and the experience of trauma influence how people manage difficult emotions. We focus on understanding the role of behaviors such as self-harm and suicide to regulate emotions and seek to enhance personalized assessments and treatments for people with identity and relationship difficulties. Specifically, our research focuses on borderline personality disorder (BPD) from both clinical and lived experience perspectives. We also aim to further incorporate forensic psychology and forensic populations into our upcoming research.

Our lab is situated in the College of Psychology and Counseling at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey.
